Went to visit my mom and, of course, took my camera. One of the things I love about photography is capturing moments. Sometimes, things happen so fast, you don't have time to react or give importance to random stuff. But, with the magic of photography, you freeze moments that can give a whole new dimension to our "randomness" in life. No wonder Cartier-Bresson described it as "the decisive moment".
Image: I wanted to capture my mom as naturally as possible, no poses. But at one moment, she looks back and *click*, got it! What was she thinking? What worries her? One can only imagine (like, for example, why is my son playing with that darn camera!). FREE texture from NinianLif.
Manual: Page 49 (Nikon D40 manual) White balance can be fine tuned, without using the presets. I did not know that!
Inspiration: Robert Frank. His masterpiece, The Americans, show a face america didn't know (or didn't want to know) it had. Recently, the identity of one of Frank's captured images was revealed!
