Went to the garbage dump! Well, not exactly, but close.
Image: The rusted hole caught my eye, but when processed trough Lightroom, I got this interesting result thanks to a preset by Preset Heaven, great site (highly recommended!)
Manual: Page 23 (Nikon D40 manual) AF-Assist illuminator. If the subject is poorly lit, the AF-assist illuminator will light automatically to assist the autofocus operation when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. Very useful, unless you have a lens that doesn't have a built-in motor (like my 50mm f/1.8). Oh well!
